Brittney was born at Women's and Children's Hospital on May 18, 1989 and killed on February 18, 2007 at the age of 17 by a drunk driver. She had 2 of her best friends with her, Kylie and Michelle. Both girls had serious internal injuries but both survive. Britt died 3 months to the day of her 18th birthday. We will remember her forever.(in the picture below: L-Kylie, C-Brittney, R-Michelle)
Brittney was a senior at Catholic High School of New Iberia. She played soccer and was a member of the campus ministry. She loved going to school early so that she could socialize with her friends. She was looking forward to turning 18 on May 18th and leaving for her senior trip on the same day to go to Cancun. She was also looking forward to going to New York with her nanny in the fall of 2007.
Brittney was such a good person inside and out. She loved being with her friends and going to the beach. Brittney has touched so many lives, anyone who knew her would agree that she was an awesome person. She has been sadly missed by all her friends and family but especially her mom, dad and brother.
Two days after we buried Brittney we found out that she had an experience with Rosa Mystica that she never new about. If you want to read the story please see the, "Tributes and Condolences" section and enjoy.

IF WE COULD HAVE A LIFETIME WISH
A dream that would come true,
We'd pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and You,
A thousand words can't bring you back
We know because we've tried....
Neither will a thousand tears
We know because we've cried...
You left behind our broken hearts
And happy memories too...
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted you...

If you are looking down Brittney
listen to me please,
just to know you might be
brings a little ease.
Everytime I come here to spend
some time with you,
I promise that I won't cry
But everytime I do.
I know that you won't like
to see me stand & cry.
I want you to be proud of me,
but however hard I cry.
I think about the old days
and the good times we had,
knowing there will be no more
always makes me sad.

AND BERTRAND
A MOTHER'S LOVE FOR HER CHILD
IS LIKE NOTHING IN THE WORLD.
IT KNOWS NO LAW, NO PITY,
IT DARES ALL THINGS AND CRUSHES DOWN
REMORSELESSLY ALL THAT STANDS IN ITS PATH.
